Bewdley Book Club - Bewdley - Wednesday, April 9th - 6:30 p.m.
- Join us at the Bewdley Branch where we get together and discuss our latest book of choice!

Teen Book Spine Poetry Contest - All Locations - Tuesday, April 1st to Wednesday, April 30th
- April is National Poetry Month. Celebrate by creating your own unique book spine poem using Cobourg Public Library books.
- To enter, submit a photo of your poem to our social media platforms or email to rpurdy@cobourg.library.on.ca.
- The winner will be randomly drawn to win a teen prize pack.
- Contest open to ages 13-17 years of age.
- One entry per person.
Adult Craft Night - Bewdley Branch - Wednesday, April 16th - 6:00 p.m.
- Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where we'll be making adorable little gnomes from air-dry clay. Whether you're a seasoned sculptor or a first-time crafter, our easy-to-follow instruction will help you create your very own quirky clay gnome. This is part one of a two part program. This month we will creating our gnome friends. Next month we will paint our gnomes! All materials are provided—just bring your imagination and a sense of fun! Don’t miss out on the gnome-making magic—sign up today!

- Hang out, meet new people, play a board game or a Nintendo Switch game on the big screen, participate in an activity, or enjoy the free WIFI.

April 2025 - Outreach and Events |
- One eRead/Un Livrel Canada is a digital book club connecting readers and libraries from across Canada.
- This year’s One eRead Canada pick is Valid by Chris Bergeron, with the English version translated by Natalia Hero.
- The eBook will be available in French and English and the audiobook in French from April 1st – 30th.
- Valid will be available in April without waitlists or holds so that all Canadians can read along at the same time.
- Download a copy from your local library during the month and join the discussion in English or French – or both!
- Due to the power outage in the area, this month's breakfast has been cancelled.
Tech Buddies - Cobourg Library - Tuesdays - April 8th to May 13th - 4:10 p.m. to 5:10 p.m.
- Need basic technology assistance?
- Join students from Trinity College School in the Reading Room of the Cobourg Public Library.
- Help is first come-first served.
Chess Club - Cobourg Library - Tuesdays - 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Drop by the Reading Room for a game of chess!
- Pieces and boards will be available.
- All ages and skill levels welcome.
National Canadian Film Day - Cobourg Library - Monday, April 14th - 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - Rotary Room
- Join us for a viewing of Maudie (2016) at 1:00 p.m.
- Intermission and short films prepared by local students from the Film Forward Festival with a viewing of The Grand Seduction (2013) to follow.
- Light refreshments provided by donation.
- In partnership with Film Access Northumberland.
All Library Locations will be closed on Friday, April 4th for a Staff Development Day.
