Roads and Sewers Department

The Roads and Sewers Department is responsible for the maintenance of;

• Municipal roads including winter snow removal
• Sidewalk
• Bridges
• Ditches
• Traffic signals
• Signs
• Street lights
• Culverts
• Storm and sanitary sewers

Maintenance includes patching, pothole repairs, street sweeping, sidewalk repairs, sinkholes, winter snow removal and other general road concerns.

Sewers on private properties

Sewers that are located on private property must be maintained by the property owner unless the municipality has an easement for a public sewer.

Waste management in the Town of Cobourg includes;
