Cobourg, ON (February 21, 2025) – The Town of Cobourg’s Civic Awards Committee is extending the nomination deadline by a week for the 22nd Annual Civic Awards to Friday, February 28, 2025.

The Civic Awards recognize residents who have helped benefit the community through outstanding volunteerism and community involvement.

Residents are encouraged to ‘pay it forward’ by nominating a deserving individual to be recognized for their volunteerism within the community. The nomination form and awards category information can be found at www.Cobourg.ca/Civic-Awards.

There are two levels of Awards: The Major Awards for those who have volunteered for five years or more and have varied volunteer experience and the Distinguished Awards for those who have volunteered for a minimum of one year in the community.  

This year, the Civic Awards will honour the successful recipients on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, during National Volunteer Week in the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall at 7 p.m.

How to Nominate:

1. Review the award categories and select the most appropriate category.
2. Complete the online nomination form.
3. Include all required information and supporting documentation, if applicable.
4. Submit the nomination form and any supporting documentation by Friday, February, 28, 2025.
