Cobourg, ON (February 14, 2025) – The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents that a Special Meeting of Council will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 1 p.m.

The meeting is being held to consider the following items:

• In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, Council will meet in Closed Session regarding the following items:
• a trade secret or scientific, technical, commercial, financial or labour relations information, supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board, which, if disclosed, could reasonably be expected to prejudice significantly the competitive position or interfere significantly with the contractual or other negotiations of a person, group of persons, or organization (s. 239 (2) (i)); and
• advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose (s. 239 (2) (f)).
• Notice of Motion from Mayor Lucas Cleveland regarding Equitable Distribution of Emergency Shelter Beds and Support Services Across all Municipalities within Northumberland County

Please be advised that pursuant to section 5.6 of the Town of Cobourg Procedural By-law a Special Meeting has been called of Cobourg Municipal Council scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. for the purposes of meeting in Closed Session. The Public will see a Closed Session screen on the livestream of the Special Meeting indicating Council is in Closed Session. The Open Session will appear live directly following the Closed Session and can be viewed using the same livestream link.
