2023 Residential Tax Bill Final Installment is due August 31
Cobourg, ON (August 29, 2023) – The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents of upcoming municipal building closures on Monday, September 4, 2023, in observance of the Labour Day holiday.
Town of Cobourg municipal offices and buildings, including Victoria Hall, the Cobourg Community Centre, the Cobourg Public Library, Public Works Building 7 and the Venture13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2023.
Cobourg Transit will also not be running on Labour Day Monday.
The Town of Cobourg would also like to remind residents that the second bill, final installment of the 2023 Residential Tax Bill is due on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
The Town of Cobourg wishes all residents and visitors and safe and happy long weekend.

International Drug Poisoning Awareness Day | Thursday, August 31
The International Drug Poisoning Awareness Day is an annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died from overdose, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind. Event organizers Moms Stop the Harm, CMHA, HKPR, PARN and Green Wood Coalition will provide information and offer Naloxone training as well as host an art project. Out front of Victoria Hall, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A candlelit vigil will follow in the evening from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Movies in the Park | Friday, September 1

Mural Restoration and Plaque Unveiling | Saturday, September 9
The Cobourg and District Historical Society invite you to the official unveiling of the restored Cobourg to Rochester Car Ferry Mural located on First Street at King Street. Join the Historical Society, artists John Mitchell, Allan Bender and the community at 1 p.m. on September 9 for an afternoon remembering this beloved ferry crossing.
Northumberland’s Third Annual Big Rigs and All Things That Move | Sunday, September 10
The fun will take place at the large gravel parking lot behind the Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D'Arcy St, on Sunday, September 10th, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Families and children of all ages are welcome to get up close and personal while exploring and learning about vehicles of all different shapes and sizes, including the Cobourg Fire Department’s Aerial truck!
The event is free, donations are encouraged to raise funds for The Peterborough Butterfly Run.

The annual The Terry Fox Foundation Terry Fox run in support of cancer research will hit the road starting at the Lions Pavilion in Victoria Park.

Join the Multiple Myeloma March starting from the Lions Pavilion in Victoria Park. Myeloma Canada’s Multiple Myeloma March raises money to support the pursuit of curing and preventing the disease, accelerate access to the best care, while empowering and improving the lives of all Canadians affected by myeloma.
The Sweet Water Country Music Show | Sunday, September 24
