Cobourg, ON (June 28, 2022) – The Town of Cobourg is pleased to share more information on the community events and cultural programming taking place Friday July 1 to Sunday July 3 as we welcome back the Cobourg Waterfront Festival and Canada Day activities.
A celebrated community favourite for 33 years, the Cobourg Waterfront Festival is made possible thanks to the dedicated members and volunteers of the Rotary Club of Cobourg and the Cobourg Lions Club. Paired with the Town of Cobourg Canada Day parade and cultural activities in the park, this beloved event has activities for people of all ages.
After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Experience Cobourg is thrilled to announce the lineup of activities planned for the weekend. For more on the 2022 Cobourg Waterfront Festival visit waterfrontfestival.ca.
Thursday, June 30 – Victoria Park Entertainment

*Strawberry Social: Presented bythe Lions Club of Cobourg and Northumberland United Way. Tickets are $15 in advance ($20 at the tent). The menu includes meatballs, coleslaw, macaroni salad, cold cuts, buns, strawberry dessert, coffee or tea. Strawberries are donated by Burnham Family Farm Market.
Advanced tickets may be purchased until Thursday, June 30 at 9 a.m. by calling 905-373-5942 or tickets can be purchased at the tent. Net proceeds will go the Northumberland United Way.

Road Closures
All road closures will be in effect from Friday July 1 at 8 a.m. until Monday July 4 at 8 a.m., and include:

Please note there is no parking overnight on King Street from Thursday, June 30 to Friday, July 1. Cars remaining on King Street along the parade route on July 1 will be ticketed and towed.
Shuttle Information
The Town of Cobourg is offering complimentary shuttles from the Cobourg Community Centre (750 D’Arcy Street) and the Northumberland Mall Parking Lot (1111 Elgin Street West) to designated Waterfront Festival locations surrounding Victoria Park and Rotary Harbourfront Park. “Special Event Shuttle” signage will be posted at all pick-up and drop-off locations.
The shuttles will run continuously on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On-Demand Transit
Cobourg Transit Conventional and Specialized (WHEELS) service will be running its regular hours on Friday, July 1 and through the weekend.
