Cobourg, ON (April 16, 2024) – The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents that an Emergency Meeting of Council will take place on today, Tuesday, April 16, at 6 p.m.

In accordance with section 239 (2) (f) of the Municipal Act, 2001, Council will meet in Closed Session regarding advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose (s. 239 (2) (f)), and personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (s. 239 (2) (b)).

Please be advised that pursuant to Section 5.6 of the Town of Cobourg Procedural By-law an Emergency Meeting has been called of Cobourg Municipal Council scheduled to begin at 6:00 P.M. and Council will hold a Closed Session. Members of the Public viewing the meeting via the Town of Cobourg eScribe portal will see a Closed Session Screen on the livestream indicating Council is in a Closed Session
