Cobourg, ON (December 28, 2021) – The Town of Cobourg’s Public Works Division would like to advise residents of this year’s Christmas tree pickup schedule and to also remind residents of snow clearing safety rules, bylaw and etiquette.
Christmas Tree Pickup Schedule
Christmas tree collection is planned for the week of January 10, 2022, and that weather conditions may cause possible delays in pick up. Residents are asked to place trees curbside on Sunday, January 9, 2022.
Christmas trees are collected in separate trucks so that they can be processed and composted and then used internally by Town divisions. Wood chips are used around newly planted trees, on street and parking lot gardens and along the dog park pathways. The wood chips are not available to the public.
The following items must be removed from trees before placing the tree at the curb. The Town will not collect trees set out in plastic bags or tree bags.
